The Platform is designed for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under applicable law. If you are under 18, or below the age or legal capacity to contract in your jurisdiction, you must not accept these User Terms or use the Platform unless you have contacted us at [email protected] to complete any required consent forms or verification procedures.
Users may be required to provide emergency contact information upon registration on the Platform. The Company or Counsellor may use this information if there is reasonable belief that a User is at risk of self-harm or poses a threat to others.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these User Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines, rules, or disclaimers posted on the Platform. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.
Description of Services
TalkTime provides an online platform connecting users with licensed and qualified mental health professionals ("Counsellors") for virtual counselling sessions. The Services include:
- Video Counselling — Live video sessions with licensed Counsellors
- Chat-Based Support — Asynchronous messaging with assigned Counsellors
- Self-Help Resources — Articles, exercises, and educational content
- Session Management — Booking, rescheduling, and managing appointments
User Obligations
By using the Platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Use the Platform only for lawful purposes
- Not impersonate any person or entity
- Not share, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Payment Terms
- All fees are displayed in the currency selected by the user (AED, USD, GBP, EUR)
- Payment is required before each session or at the start of a subscription period
- Refund requests must be made within 24 hours of a missed session by the Counsellor
- TalkTime reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice
Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is the property of TalkTime Limited or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Limitation of Liability
TalkTime is a technology platform that facilitates connections between users and independent Counsellors. TalkTime does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Platform is not a substitute for professional medical advice, emergency services, or in-person therapy.
Governing Law
These User Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), United Arab Emirates.
